Some people who were sent by the mining company/companies between October 10, 2011 and October 20, 2011 tried to clear the road from Sitio Inigman to Sitio Tabay of Barangay Patria in Pandan for right of way going to the mining sites in the area of Libertad.

The people of Patria opposed and resisted the clearing of the road, the way going up to the mining sites. The backhoe and the bulldozer were driven down to Libertad a few days after October 20, 2011 when the people of Patria and nearby barangays showed to the mayor of Pandan during a public meeting that they do not agree to the planned mining operations whether it is Libertad or Pandan.
